ACHYG have returned home from an amazing tour of Texas. We could not be more proud of our Youth team who represented us in Belton Texas with the ACHA ( American Cutting Horse Association). The all girl team, showed extremely well and were just out of the money. Our youth team consisted of Taylah Watt Ebor NSW, Emma Swan Armidale NSW & Michaela Kenniff Tamworth NSW. The girls competed in the Senior Youth event & the $1000 Novice events. All the girls had amazing horses to ride & had an awesome coach, Mr Terry Clifford of Mustang Creek Ranch. Terry influenced the girls to get the most out their horses and he did not disappoint, all the girls learnt so much & have taken this knowledge on board for the rest of their lives. ACHYG would once again like to thank Mr Terry Clifford for his time, knowledge & hospitality, not only a great trainer but a wonderful individual. We would also like to thank our host families, Terry & Tracy Clifford & Ernie & Michelle Torres for their awesome hospitality such wonderful people, we are blessed to be apart of their lives. ACHYG would also like to thank the horse owners who generously loaned the girls their horses, Mr Monte Strusiner - SPIN HUNTRESS ridden by Taylah Watt, UNO ON THE CAT WALK ridden by Emma Swan & MR KENNY EMIGH - TUFF LITTLE SLICK ridden by Michaela Kenniff. The girls had an awesome time riding & showing these great horses. ACHYG look forward to the future alliance with the ACHA with representative youth exchange & member exchange in our respective associations/groups. The ACHYG youth team had an awesome time, with showing their respective horses, radio & television interviews, enjoying the culture & site seeing. The second week saw all three families travel in different directions to explore this wonderful country, there were quite a few miles notched up on the road & some stories to tell. The girls spent one day filming with Mr Kenny Emigh, Morgan Emigh & Wesley Adams for Cuttin Up Tv, their was a few retakes but the girls had fun. This will air on Cuttin Up Tv series in the next couple of weeks. Now that we are home safe & sound we look forward to our next show at Gatton QLD 22nd April, don't forget we have pre-works available for those competitors who are entering into our Baileys of Greta signature Cup series for 3/4 year old snaffle bit horses & 5/6 one-handed horses run over 3 rounds, first round will be at National Finals in September 2017.
